Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

1. Introduction

Pollburst ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our polling and survey platform at pollburst.com.

By using Pollburst, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We store this to create and manage your account.

Poll data: We store the polls you create, including questions, settings, and configuration.

Response data: When someone responds to your poll, we store their answers. Responses are anonymous by default unless you enable email collection in your poll settings.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited and features used to improve the Service.

Browser fingerprinting: To prevent duplicate votes on polls, we use browser fingerprinting — a technique that derives a non-personally-identifiable identifier from your browser and device characteristics (such as screen resolution, language settings, and installed fonts). This identifier is used solely for vote deduplication and is not linked to your identity or shared with third parties.

Payment information: We do not store your payment card details. All billing is handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Send transactional emails and notification emails you have opted into (such as streak reminders and weekly recaps)
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Improve and develop new features

We do not sell your personal data or your poll respondents' data to any third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a PostgreSQL database platform with industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit. Our database is hosted in the United States.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — for sign-in authentication
  • Supabase — for database storage and authentication
  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Vercel — for hosting and deployment

Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.

6. Poll Respondent Data

When someone responds to a poll you created, their responses are stored and accessible only to you (the poll creator). Responses are anonymous unless you specifically enabled email collection in your poll settings. We do not use respondent data for advertising or share it with third parties.

7. Cookies

Pollburst uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your authentication session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect the Service's functionality.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your poll data at any time using our CSV export feature

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at nevacfrazier03@gmail.com.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and polls will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Poll response data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

Pollburst is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
